With gas prices soaring to near record highs, it’s no surprise that motorists are attempting to seek all the relief possible. With summer months on the horizon, many drivers will be turning to their air conditioning units to keep cool in their vehicles. It doesn’t have to be that way, asserts Tom Lable, a veteran who’se been window tinting Dallas cars for 19 years. He explains how motorists can save a sizable percentage of the money they spend on gas: “Well, its no surprise that air conditioning eats up gas. If you have tinted windows, you’ll use a whole lot less air conditioning – and thus gas. With prices at the pump like this, that adds considerably.” Lable is correct. The heat absorbtion offered by window tinting cools the vehicle’s cabin considerably – this allows for less a/c and thus gas to be used. David Maidstone, a Las Vegas window tinting veteran has seen it all before: “Just a little bit of tint on your car can save you hundreds at the pump over the years.” No matter what the scenario, motorists will find ways to beat the heat this summer – and save money as well. This little known fact, however, can save you considerably more.
